Client Build #2 The Mac Killer

* I want to preface this post by saying I have nothing against Macs, it's just not my cup of tea. They have their place in the market just as PCs do. However, I do take issue when someone with unreasonable and blatantly biased opinions is constantly telling others they are wrong, with no real facts to back it up.   An Acquaintance of mine approached me complaining about how his bosses were always glorifying Apple products, and talking about how PCs were trash. This went on for a few months an

#10 The infamous button

Teacher: Hey, can you tell me which button takes a screenshot of the screen? Me: Yea, there is a button on your keyboard called "PrtScr/Print Screen". You have to click that once and then go to paint or word and paste it. Teacher: Thanks!   Which button is the enter button? The one with Enter written on it... :|

The PC Hardware Debate (From My Point of View)

This is going to be one of those rants from my perspective, based on a conversation I had with friends and family two nights ago (1 August, 2015). Names of the people involved will remain confidential. Don't ask for names.   My take on this debate is with PC hardware and their choices. As you may have realized at some point, I actually love high-end, enthusiast-class hardware configurations (though not ones that are absolutely nuts and stupid like The Compensator build log they did) and many t

Why there should be AIO Phase Change Systems

Phase Change is really cool. The people with these systems can say "yeah, my computer is basically a refrigerator". The problem is, these systems are so complicated, us poor people have no way to build one. AIO Phase change would be relatively easy. It wouldn't be as easy as installing an h100iGT, but thats fine. the insulation stuff would be included, but you'd have to put it on. It would be as hard as flexible custom watercooling. Everybody help me out and campaign for AIO Phase Change.

Got a butt-load of ideas, but not enough time to spend on it

This is a short progress update but I'm currently reading up my GCSE-AS Design tech books to revitalise my clunky empty brain. Also bought this book on industrial design (very geometrical etc.) GCSE....<- I forgot..:S Edexcel A Level Design & Technology - Graphics Products | Product Design by Jon Attwood Drawing for Product Designs By Kevin Henry Other than that I have my trusty notebook which contains th

Is my pc fast enough

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3Q9BRB   Above is the parts list for my pc I am going to build. I play fast paced yet reletively non-demanding action adventure and Action Rpg games like: Transistor, Fallout 2, And (hopefully soon) Hyper Light Drifter I will have a 2560x1440p monitor and I hope that my gpu can run those at that resolution at 60 fps or higher to avoid tearing (monitor doesn't support g-sync) along with other general concerns. Please write if you can.   Thank you Sincerely, Taylo

In need of a laptop.

So I need a good laptop. I have a ok gaming tower pc so I don't an overkill laptop but I know I will install games on the laptop anyway. I am willing to use about 1000 euros in the laptop. I want a 1080p display at least 8 gigs of ram a good gpu and preferably a ssd drive in it (I can install one myself so it doesn't matter too much). Off course it needs to be with good battery and light because I will be using it for school work. I was thinking about lenovo y50-70 15,6. (there is a link to a Fi

Can't seem to choose Graphics Card for AMD A10 7850k

Ok guys im kinda new into this. Anyways i've been planning on building my pc and found that kaveri is the processor that's really good for my budget. I researched much about it and found out that it could crossfire with an amd radeon discrete graphics card. My questions here would be: Would the R9 270x work with the a10's apu (in terms of crossfire) and provide very nice graphics and performance for gaming and would the gtx 960 work better than the r9 even though the apu wouldnt be able to cross

More information about RAID 0 wanted.

I would like to see a video about the actual dangers of raid 0 today. This needs to include some good information about backups from raid to what, and recovery from such backups if I did lose a raid disk (lets say 1 out of 4). I think at least some cloning software excludes RAID disks - ??? There are a whole lot of things that can be brought out for us to learn so we can really make intelligent decisions about this. Can you give us some actual failure rates in the past and today? I hav
