Day Thirty One - A Few Thoughts

GOTSpectrum

Well here we are, the end of the event draws near and we have certainly been pushing hard.

Mxyzptlk is looking in good form to be passing the billion point mark before the end of the event. Id Igor is wanting to take the throne they will certainly need to recover big style, my guess if they have been folding on AWS and have been affected by the outage. LazyDev is really pushing hard to take over cbigfoots, and they are going to need to push harder if they are wanting to leapfrog. We have just passed 25 billion for the whole team, which is truly amazing.

Please click on the link below to see the full list of ranks for today.

Todays Ranks

Please remember that this is a friendly event, but we are all folding away for Science, AND GLORY!

I'm really impressed with the numbers we are seeing here, Thank you to all who are involved and who make this worth while every year.

Remember we are a team first and individuals second, so give thanks where thanks is due and hit that reaction button when someone helps you out.

Be wary of the minimum participation requirements this year.

20 Days with activity*, 500,000 Points & 40 WU

(*activity is defined as completing at least 1WU for the 24 hour period)

Finally, if you have had any hardware die during the event or on the run up to the event during preparations please post it on the thread below

List of The Dead

Happy folding,

I leaped over Favebook : ) might be able to run home with this.

I am guessing here @IgorSinelnikov and I am certainly not speaking for @GOTSpectrum but the "they" type statements are becoming much more common. Honestly with screen names especially a lot of the time its hard to tell anyways, and the more I have learned about it, the less it rarely matters either way. I play a card game and I have interacted with a broad spectrum of people and they are all cool. I have also failed pretty hard a few times and mixed up genders and general stuck my foot in my mouth at random times. If I personally flipped to "they" "them" or super generic "you" I would probably duck being wrong : ) Also side note, nice damn numbers seriously.

I'm really uncertain as to how my PPD keeps turning out so low.

I have two machines folding -- one with a 5900x and 3080, which estimates between 5m and 6m PPD depending on WU, and one with a 5950x and GTX 970. That one estimates between 1m and 1.5m PPD depending on the WU, which results in a combined 6m to 7.5m PPD... but I'm routinely outputting 3-4m instead. I don't get it, but EOC confirms it.

just out of curiousity ... Why do you refer to a person as "they" quite often?  Gender neutrality? or other reasons?

They is just easier than remember people's genders most of the time, especially when I'm ill... can't really go wrong with 'they'

Yes, you will. If one of my 2080S didn't die a week ago, I'd be holding onto 6th spot until end of event 🙂

Sorry for your loss of the 2080S, but good battle.
