Day Four - Oh So Close

GOTSpectrum

Well here we are, and I really am just blown away with this rodarkone and Den-Fi thing that we got going on, he tried so hard, and he got damn close this update, but yet, he was 40k shy of the mark, you'll get him next time.... Maybe.

In first place we have rodarkone, who right now with 133.95 million points, has had his lead slashed to only around 40k points. He should certainly be looking at fiddling with the knobs and dials if he is wanted to maintain his lead into the next update. In third place we have the makers of many a favourite food products, Unilevers with 95.61 million points. Gorgon find himself in 4th place, pretty much matching production but have a mountain to claim if he wants to move up the table with only 87.85 million points. Milker07 continues to sit comfortably in 4th place feeling rather safe with 82.1 million points. But the story on 6th and 7th place is much higher friction; With _Rlocke having 63.5m points followed closely by Shlouski with 63.2m points. With the production being so close it will be interesting too see if these guys try to push just that little harder in their fight. It wouldn't take much though to push them too far and to have a dropped WU or two causing them some upset, so beware. 8th place is justaphf, sitting on 54 million but with 9th place DirectGnu2 outproducing Mr. phf he will have to keep a close eye on that rear view mirror if he is looking to maintain his current respectable posistion. finally we have the wizzard of the folding database Mr. LAR_Systems rounding out the top ten with 48m points. He sits as the gatekeeper, and it must be said, there are some below him who will be eyeing up his seat, already outproducing him, he will certainly need to squeeze out some more juice is he is wanting to remate the gatekeeper for the duration.

So, will Den-Fi take the throne in the next update, With Unilevers fall, can Mr. database keep a hold on that number ten or will a new face emerge from the lower ranks and break down the gatehouse, only time will tell.

Please remember that this is a friendly event, but we are all folding away for Science, AND GLORY!

I'm really impressed with the numbers we are seeing here, Thank you to all who are involved and who make this worth while every year.

Remember we are a team first and individuals second, so give thanks where thanks is due and hit that reaction button when someone helps you out.

Be wary of the higher minimum participation requirements this year.

20 Days with activity*, 500,000 Points & 40 WU

(*activity is defined as completing at least 1WU for the 24 hour period)

Happy folding,

Spec.

The only way I'll win is if roddy has a bluescreen everyday for the rest of the event.

I don't see this happening.

210 today. Still moving up. :)

Might go down a little today though, as I'm shutting down to do some minor hardware upgrades. I've got my old laptop folding now too, but it's only ~1000 PPD....

definitely eyeing that nr.10 spot, today my production should be going up to 12M, tough that's still a little short.

EDIT: a bluescreen and two lost WU's later i doubt i'll be moving up anytime soon 😛

definitely need to get more hardware :(

You're fine just the way you are.

It's not about the size of the load (of work units), it's about how effective they are.

I could fold a million proteins and solve nothing, but you could cure cancer by folding just a few.

This is why we all do it regardless of the output.

Looks like I am successfully changing the structure of your thought process. denmode.thumb.png.9382f677b7dbade8e091ef3511b0d96c.png

Pretty soon, you'll understand everything.

haha  I know that much but my team and world ranking have stagnated, also dropped 10 places in 4 days of the comp is just not good enough lol. I have the rack space so I should use it

It's turning into a very expensive bug.

LOL, I just said to myself earlier "Roddy and I sure sound like first world a-holes complaining about our millions of points per update."
