  1. What's his GPU? Can't seem to find it listed anywhere.
  2. Wonder what is going wrong with my 3DMark benchmarks. After running the Fire Strike demo, my PC scores well below a "4k gaming computer" that 3DMark shows (i7-4790k and SLI 980). On running the Sky Diver test, my PC scores 5k below an i5-4690k and GTX 970. Are these tests limited in the demo? I think it may not be using my SLI, as my scores are never listed as GTX 980 SLI. 3. Not really sure which topic to post this under, but I'm not sure what's happening. Every time my computer is off for an extended period of time (sleep or shut down) and I turn it back on, the monitor does not recognize the computer...at first. Only after unplugging the DP cable from my GPU and plugging it back into the same slot does the monitor recognize that the computer is sending a signal. The monitor fully recognizes that the computer wakes up and turns itself on, but it says no signal every time. Is this a problem with my motherboard/GPU/Monitor or cable? Also, this problem doesn't happen when the computer is restarted. The monitor receives the signal just fine then.
  4. God I would buy that monitor, but they're all sold out. Hopefully I can get one on the next manufacture wave.
  5. There's a new Acer Predator 4k monitor that can go to 100hz, but they're all sold out -.-
  6. Wondering if the difference between 1440p and 4k is worth limiting fps to 60 on a 4k rather than 144 on a 1440p. I'm currently using a 1440p 144hz monitor and am interested in going into 4k. Is there a very noticeable jump between 1440p and 4k? Would it be worth it to drop the 60+fps for the quality of 4k? My build could probably run high settings 4k ~60fps.
  7. So I've recently taken the initiative to upgrade my build into an absolute monster. I am looking for tips on the best motherboard to fit my new parts for maximum performance/overclocking. New build: CPU: i7-5930k Motherboard: ??? RAM: 16GB Corsair DDR4 3000MHz GPU: Gigabyte Gaming G1 GTX980Ti x 2 (possibly 3 if it will ensure always 60fps high+ settings on 4k, not sure about the diminishing returns with 3x SLI) Everything else is the same, possible monitor upgrade to 4k. Any help is appreciated! 8. I didn't think so before, but someone told me there aren't enough pcie lanes or something with my CPU so it bottlenecks my GPUs? I'm not too tech savvy, if you can't tell. CPU: i7-4790K GPU: SLI GTX 980Ti
  9. The card still retails for $580 USD, and the one I sold was 2 months old with 0 damage or wear. So $450 for a used, basically new 980 is a fucking deal.
  10. Sorry for the late response. My current build is: Z97-A ASUS Mobo 16GB Gskill DDR3 RAM i7-4790K at 4.0 GHz (not overclocked) CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler SLI Gigabyte Gaming G1 GTX 980Ti 250GB Samsung SSD 1TB Western Black HDD NZXT Phantom Full Tower case I plan on getting an h100 watercool and overclocking my CPU. I will only upgrade if the next generation of CPU/Mobos are a good step ahead. I do have an upgrade bug though.. *and overclocking the GPU, they have amazing cooling.
  11. When are the new Intel Skylake CPUs supposed to hit the market? And since they are socket LGA 1151, won't new motherboards with that socket have to come out? Wondering if I'll need to upgrade my MOBO along with CPU.
  12. I've got the same cards! How are they running for you? Just installed mine, everything on 1440p runs easily over 100fps maxed.
  13. I certainly hope not....Other benchmarks I've run seem to utilize the 6GB. And GTAV uses all 6 as well.
  14. I'll join. Here's my Unigine benchmark at everything maxed (except AA, 4x), at 1440p. Shame, it didn't seem to use my 2nd card at all. Stayed at under-load MHZ the entire benchmark. Scores a bit low reflecting that, basically running 1440p on a single 980Ti. NEVER MIND, IM STUPID. I forgot to re-enable SLI after a driver update...will post new benchmark with actual SLI benchmarking. Nevertheless, I am running SLI 980Ti.
