  1. Pretty much. It was a clean win 10 install. Turned it on. Set default printer to xerox #1 Printed a couple of test pages Came back a few days later and it was defaulted to xerox #2
  2. The users aren't doing anything. We replicated the issue on a test-bench, that did nothing but sit on a desk.
  3. Thats the reg edit we already did. And it does infact work. We can confirm this, since all machines will have the registry option changed. Unfortunately that won't be an option, as this is an office environment with ~200 users, and God-knows-how-many printers that they switch between. Like if one of the finance ladies wants to print to xerox-in-finance-1 all the time, but once a week she needs xerox-in-finance-2, we can't uninstall it.
  4. Hi everyone! I work in a larger enterprise IT environment. We have Win 10 pro on almost all machines. It keeps changing the default printer on many of the users. For me, it always changes it to this architectural plotter on our network. For my boss, it always defaults to AdobePDF. We have turned off the 'Let windows manage my default printer' in the windows setting. Matter of fact, we have disabled that for all users, through a registry edit GPO. The registry entry we changed is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LegacyDefaultPrinterMode Any other ideas on what could be causing this? I have been looking into it for a while now, and seem to have exhausted the Internets knowledge. Thanks in advance!
  5. Thanks for the help. I tried everything RDP, but my ISP will not budge. I tried having them reinstall TV. Apparently you need to go into the regedit, and delete a few files and get a new MAC address. Way beyond their skill level. I'm not exactly a wizard when it comes to powershell scripts. I will just wait until I am back from vacation, and figure this out. Thanks all for your help though.
  6. Don't know. 'The trial license of the connection partner has expired. As your connection partner uses TeamViewer commercially, either one of you (one of the connection partners) needs a vaild TeamViewer license' I installed on both my laptop and my server using the same .exe on my flash drive. Both of the installs have been added to the same TV account, so that I can remote connect without another person hitting accept. I will try this openVPN setup. I have more confidence in my family's technical abilities there.
  7. It said my license expired. Maybe it assumed it wasn't personal since its running on a win server install
  8. What kind of vpn setup? I just have a IP spoofing vpn. Is this something that I will be able to get past my ISPs subnetting?
  9. Hi Everyone! I need some help with a remote connection to my server(and possibly other network devices) . Here are the details: 2012 R2 server Will be connecting mostly from win 10 machines. I am 1000 miles away right now, and Teamviewer decided to stop working. Essentially the solution would ideally be available in a .exe file, that I can have a family member install. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ RDP does not work because my ISP sucks and does some internal routing of his own. What solution would be best for this kind of connection? Is there a product better value than paying $800 for a TV license? Would sailing the high seas be an option? I don't want anyone to get in trouble for condoning piracy, but the prices for some of this shit is just ludicrous. Cheers, and thanks for the help guys.
  10. Can you prove otherwise? I admit that this deal isn't at good as it sounds. I picked mine up for like $80 + tax and shipping, so the $140 is still too much for these. (They are seen often on sale for the $90 to $120 range). For $80 I think that they are unbeatable.
  11. I don't know if we are talking about the same product here. Above is the frequency response diagram for the M50x. You will notice it is far to flat to ski on. (For those of you from Denmark, I know it looks like quite the elevation change, but believe me, the rest of the world would call that 'shallow') The highs aren't perfect, but can you name a pair of headphones that for the price will do better? They aren't supposed to have much of a soundstage. They are closed back. That's what they do. ^^Also, what the F*** does this even mean? These headphones are beloved in the tech and music communities for being accurate, clear, and affordable. They have a considerable reputation as such for good reason. Pretty much any reviews you find for these will be at least a 8/10 or higher. Cheerio!
  12. I see what you are saying, but it is definitely not a fuel issue. Once my work day is over, I will annoy the staff at my local auto shop to test the battery. The 'cold' I am mentioning is not below freezing. Also its a 850 crank amp battery, for a vehicle that should only need 350 to crank. Is it possible that I got a shitty battery?
  13. I'm in AZ. My last battery was 4 1/2 when it died. 5 years is life expectancy of one here.
  14. Hi guys, I'm new to this thread! I know it seems like a long shot to ask for mechanical advice on a tech forum, but I was hoping one of you would be able to help. I own a '89 Honda Prelude SI, and the thing is having trouble starting. It only doesn't want to start when it is either cold of wet out. I live in the desert, so hot and dry is common, but since autumn is here I have been needing to jump start my vehicle ~6-7 times a week. I have removed fuses for everything that could be draining my battery. Radio is disconnected when off. Everything that isn't a light, or a window motor is disabled. I have unplugged the battery while the vehicle is running, so the alternator is fine (its only 18 months old). The battery is about a year old. Any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance.
