  1. +1 for another TJ07 build! Love to see someone else going wild with one
  2. Cheers lads for the input. I was not aware you could get a D5 with top adapters... Shows you how long I've been out of the game, probably look into getting one I can get to attach to my res, which would be way easier with the space I need in my TJ07 with the tons of drives I have in it.
  3. Hi all Been out of the watercooling "loop" far too long. I've currently got a swiftech MCP655 that at this point must be 8/9 years old. It no longer has the power it once did. After taking every block apart and cleaning I'm still only getting a little trickle when I know I got what resembled a burst water pipe when I first build this. Looking for something that is literally identical in terms of size, anyone point me in the right direction?
  4. I use to run a Z68XP-UD3P with my 2600K. Was solid as a rock
  5. I don't really like computers in desks. They get too messy IMO.
  6. BEFORE I START I DAN'T KNOW IF THIS IS IN THE CORRECT PLACE, PLEASE MOVE IF NEEDED. Okay, now that is out of the way, in the forthcoming weeks I will be moving house. Which means new desk, I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to achieve. But I also want to make it kinda geeky. I've already had the idea of putting a wireless charger into the desk. But I'm stumped about what other awesome stuff I could build into it. If you guys have any ideas or know of something I could add I would love to know!
  7. Always Higher, I'm running two 780s and they still kick ass for everything I play!
  8. Really?! I've not had any drives die on me like that, just normal wear and tear as I would call it.
  9. haha I'm currently at 8 + the SSD. I can ghetto mount another 4 in just need to be able to power them!
  10. Really? I might be able to pick one up cheap on eBay or something. Cheers for the help!
  11. I'm currently using the 4 molex harness to power 4 of my drives. The sata cable with two connectors is for my boot SSD and the 5th WD red. Then the three sata harness for the three 5.25" to 3.5" hot swaps I have in the front. Kinda crazy using all of them. Only reason I'm asking is I've got a few extra drives kicking about that I can throw into the system. Just need more power! Maybe I could just buy a second PSU and run them in a separate enclosure. Maybe a mod for the future.
  12. So after upgrading my file server a few months back I'm using all of the molex and SATA power connectors on my little CX500. So my question to you guys is if you know of any power supplies that can power more than 8 drives (I think that's how many I'm running currently). Now I probably won't just run out and buy one, just kinda want to see if I can get one for a semi decent price which can then kinda help me decide what i can do next with the server. A little more info on the PC. It's an i3-3220 running in a Z68 mob, 24 Pin ATX 8 Pin CPU. No other "regular" connections needed.
  13. If it's anything like mine on my 780s it's just one LED that shines down a plastic piece and lights the whole thing up. It kinda bounces the light against the two parts to create the full effect.
  14. Rocking two 780s in my main rig and two 460s on my other pc.
  15. Once the door is on I won't be seeing it so I'm not really bothered how it looks to be honest. I have got some green self adhesive carbon effect sheets that I could cover them in. Maybe when I get bored in the coming weeks.
