December 26th Ultimate AMD Value APU PC Build Guide

LinusTech

This ultimate build guide is a little different from previous ones. Normally we feature a lot of hardware that's beyond the financial reach of most viewers, and also beyond their needs. Today is more of a "back to basics" build guide, and the first one we've ever done with AMD as a title sponsor, so we want to give a big shout-out to them for making it possible.

Below is a list out the components included as well as a source or two for where you can get them  :)

I can't tell you where to buy this stuff, but I do lean towards NCIX for the Canadians (and International viewers if their pricing and shipping costs work out for you) because they're my bros, and for Americans the Amazon links below are affiliate links, so of course every little bit helps  :)

I think this is the absolute best budget build I have seen yet! And WOW, it introduced me to my next Monitor! What a sweet monitor, I needed the 21.5 in. more than the 23in, and WOW again I think it was 20.00 less than the 23, and I still get the incredible format. and such awesome reviews about its super thin bezel, because I DO plan on going back to dual Mon. again. And, it introduced me to the new AMD processors,I can actually go with a cheaper one than used for this build! Linus,I have been a computer geek since 1995, and I'm 49 now, I have been a HUGE you tube user for learning just about anything I want to know. But you my friend have made learning more about computers , because we all know that its a NEVER a dull moment type of hobby/tool/toy machine that's constantly evolving. So there's always something new and shiny and faster to buy, and you show us how to use  what we really need! Absolute #1 best on any website! thanks for all the amazing webisodes and keep em coming sir!

Linus, could you fit a GTX 980 from NVIDIA into this build. Also I suppose using the GTX 980 would require one to add a back fan.
