Vandal switch wiring

Toad Boy

I have got a Phobya Anti-Vandal switch with the screw connectors.

First of, I presume this ISN'T a momentary switch (it doesn't say).

I need it to control 1x NZXT sleeved LED kit, 2x Phobya 3mm twin LED's and possibly another LED strip in future.

I have also ordered a Bitfenix molex to 3x molex splitter.

The issue is, none of that little diagram means anything to me

What I think I know: I will plug the bitfenix molex splitter into one of the molex's from my HX850. And then the 3 molex's coming off the bitfenix will plug into the LED's.

But as for where to connect the switch into that loop, and which wires to splice, solder and whatever else......I'm not sure?

If anyone can help I would appreciate really simple instructions, and possibly diagrams if that's not too greedy.

(I have searched this and other forums but none match my specific situation)

This is taken from http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/troubleshooting/49313-wiring-delrin-vandal-resistant-illuminated-switch.html

"if use suppliers wiring harness can use 12v on switch but bare switch LED need to use a resisstor calculator 10% 470 Ohm .3watt

i'm guessing here 1,4 is normally open and 2,3 is normally closed

best use a continuity meter on pins 1,2,3,4 to see whats open or closed or find common with pushed /un-pushed

from your diagram latching seems to me that led will light up with switch used and un-latching is LED is not work with switch action

latching means switch will lock when depressed
un-latching is momentary no locking switch action"

on most charts ive seen, it shows as 1,2 closed, and 3,4 open, so maybe you want to keep that in mind and switch what hes doing with 1,3 with 1,2 and 2,3 with 3,4 and so forth.

Maybe the second image might help you.
