hey guys i just installed the program and started it. its working but its on my laptop. can i run it at the same time with the same account on my gaming pc using the gpu? 2 pcs are better than one! ;P

Yes, you can install the client on as many systems as you want, even the Chrome client - just make sure you always use the same ID (an punctuation counts), the same passkey and team number and they will all go towards your one ID.

Not sure what is wrong, but I download F@H, enter my username, passkey, team number etc and go to town.  Nothing else changed except removing my CPU from the folding slot but my GTX 970 PPD is 394?  How in the world are people getting multiple hundred thousands on a GTX 970?  I folded before and I remember it being MUCH higher on my GTX 670.  What am I doing wrong?

EDIT : I noticed my GPU core clock is sitting at 540MHz instead of 1555MHz which games push it to.

you are probably better off starting a separate thread for this, giving as much info as you can. Check the load on the gpu, i suspect it's sitting at near 0% and not actually folding. Go into the advanced client, the log tab, click on slot and choose the slot that belongs to your gpu to only show that one slot. Then copy/paste the problematic part in the thread.

also there has been various server issues and problems with folding on maxwell over the weekend, did you encounter these issues after the weekend? the past couple of days? otherwise it might be fine now.

my 4p machine for those who are interested.

I did finally create a thread, and a simple restart seemed to fix it.  GPU was 100% but clock was at 540 which was really weird.  Got it sorted out mostly :)

Welcome to the Fold :)

Still not 100% how it works however it is helping others for free so why not. I would say taht I have a mid range gaming computer(no water cooling, AMD 4300 and GTX 660) is running at full speed a bad idea? I'm running at medium right now? If it's not a good idea, how long can I leave it at full speed with out stressing my computer too much?

Running it at Full is not a bad idea just as long as you keep a eye on your temps.

Foldings work by using spare CPU/GPU cycles to solve mathematical equations.

I joined a while ago, but have really started to get into it this week. My folding profile is the same as on here, in name anyway.

Something, something, something, famous quote, computer specs, and stuff...
