You can get some metal polish and re-polish the entire top to a shine or even mirror finish if you really wanted to.

Get some aluminum wheel polish and get rid of the tarnish.

autosol and cotton buds. i would not bother, tbh, since i never use autosol on my bike anyway. lel.
