RAID and New mobo and OC

I am changing my rig(bold means reusing) and had some questions

OLD:

fx 8320 stock

msi mob nongaming

2 intel 530 240gb ssd (raid 0)

2 bluray players

1tb 5000 rpm hdd

gt 620 (i think)

400 watte power suppy

New:

i7 4790k

hydro 212 (later custom loop)

Asus z97 ws

2 intel 530 240gb ssd (raid 0)

2 bluray players

2 3tb 7200 rpm segate hdd (raid 1)

msi gtx 980 gaming 4g

750 watt power

This pc used to be an hp from when 7 first came out (i did change the case and everything else for that mater at this point except one of the bluray players) and learned that Microsoft will allow you to change your mobo and processor if the os is verified on the hdd or ssd. I was wondering if i could just pop in my raid 0 boot drive into the new board and it will work long enough for me to deal with Microsoft automated system and punch in a new code before installing a fresh os? do i need to install it on that 1tb then verafy with the new mobo then install fresh on the raid0

and should i overclok this build it is more for video editing and some games now that it can handle them well.
