4790k overclock

Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if anyone else got a bad luck of the draw with their 4790k overclock. I would run cpuZ and cinbench and everything would be good for up to 4 hours of stressing, but crash in regular usage. I'm a 4.8 O.C. with a recent bump to 1.33V from 1.3 and 1.32. My tempts are about 30-33C on idle and 68C under load. Just wanted to see how unlucky other people are or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Iono.

I was able to achieve that too, but for some reason when I push it up and tried to squeeze some more out of it, it just wont stabilize.

That's not unlucky, that's a very good chip. You'll probably need ~1.35-1.375 for full stability at 4.8. Looks like you have the temp overhead for it, OC on!

The only reason why I said I was unlucky was because Linus was able to get 4.8 at 1.3 and Jayztwocent was able to get it at 1.32. I had to crank mine to 1.34ish to get a stable 4.8 or at least what looks like a stable 4.8. Maybe looking at the forum people just got really good results.
