Graphics card and RAM is a good start and storage. What is your budget?

I mean your system is nice already. Other than a sort of small storage and maybe some RAM shortages in rendering, its fine. I'm not recommending a locked i7, as if you're paying for an i7, get one you can overclock, but that means getting a z97 board. uggh. Well thats about it. For best performance, pick up a z97, a 4790k, and maybe another 8gb of ram.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Is it 2x4 or 1x8? RAM?

YouTube? so rendering in stuff you said hmm maybe try and sell your I5 and grab a Xeon grade 8 threads CPU if you're good at selling stuff just make it attractive as possible and tag a good/decent price tag to it research and stuff...

Well i'm needing to go for now but i'll update you with an Upgrade later so stay tuned.

Get a 1231v3.

Thinking about the same but the E3-1230 V3 is cheaper i'm gonna check why on ARK (Intel specs and stuff... not an atual ARK, lol)

Ok yeah the 1231v3 has 0.1Ghz more Boost but $10 more.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($242.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Ehh you know i wouldnt care if it was unlocked but 0.1Ghz more is still MORE performance, lol. + Intel told support for 1230 has stopped 'End of life'.

I didnt change the GPU because its not needed still a very SOLID card or could you tell what resolution you play in because the GTX 770 only has 2GB GDDR5 * VRAM.

I don't think the 1230 has hyper-threading.

It does have Hyper-Threading in fact Intel these days includes it with ALL Xeon proccesors it would be weired because its a Workstation & Server CPU.
