Well A you really don't need the anti static wrist band

B, mostly you just need a screw driver and a knife, I'd recommend you get the knife at a swap meet or something on the really cheap

http://www.amazon.com/Professional-Portable-Screwdriver-Extension-Maintenance/dp/B00CDIY3HS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1448954654&sr=8-3&keywords=Screw+Driver

From there you just gradually add tools like a USB hard drive reader, extra hard drive for data back up, USB drives with various operating systems on them and utilities, extra cables and adapters out the ass, and that's about it

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Ifixit is known for their tremendous guides and tools

https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/all?filters%5BToolkits%5D=on

However, most are out of your price range, so I recommend you scrounge around for these main parts:

  • Screwdriver
  • Anti-static ankle/wrist strap
  • Wirecutters/scissors
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Magnetic screw tray
  • Rubberized mat (I don't use/have/want this though)

But the screwdriver is the only REQUIRED item for building a computer. A pair of scissors too, for opening the packaging

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

MX-4 is probably what you should get, it's non conductive and does about as well as AS5, most things come with paste pre-applied or with a small amount

They all come with paste, although, he should have gotten an 8320e over that CPU, and I hope he didn't get a cheap motherboard
