Bioshock Infinite Chapter Replay

Does anyone know that if you replay a chapter in Bioshock Infinite, will you be able to use all of your vigors and weapon upgrades in that replay or does it all go away?

I think how it works is that the game keeps a save as you first enter a chapter. Then the game loads that save whenever you replay that specific chapter. I could be wrong, though. That's what I remember. If you're afraid to lose progress/items or anything, just back up your save before trying it.  :D  :lol:
