What's a good laptop ssd?

FinestRyeBread

Where can I acquire one in the US?

Can I just transfer drivers directly from the laptop (Toshiba Satellite P 855-s5102)?

Any SSD will fit. Crucial, Samsung, OCZ, etc. Can't go wrong really as long as you don't overpay.

Any 2.5" SSD. So long as it's not a Kingston SSD. They suck.

Yes, yes they do.

Because shitty NAND.

Samsung 850 pro, its 2.5 inch so it can fit inside your laptop. As far as im aware, its the fastest non-m.2 drive right now.

Current Build: Core i7 4790k @ 4.6, Asus Maximus VII Hero, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400mhz 8gb (2x4gb), GTX 980ti, NZXT Kraken X61, Fractal Define R5  EVGA Supernova B2 850w, Some 300gb hard drive.

sata

1 2 or 3? I have a corsair neutron xt 240gb as my OS drive for my desktop and it's nice but again for SSDs you should always keep in mind that they can be very fragile when it comes to mass files, if the laptop has an option for two sata drives i would get an ssd and a hard drive

if unable to have two drives then I would just get like a 480gb ssd

Yeah I can recommend that Corsair Neutron XT 480GB, but like I said before SSDs can be very fragile to mass files
