Worth getting Elite Dangerous?

OfficialJsP

It's a fun game but it takes a while to learn it. The controls on keyboard are surprisingly easy (imo at least) but with one of those flight sticks it's obv better

Is Elite Dangerous any good and how are the keyboard and mouse controls?

I was going to get it, but many people say that it just turns into repeating everything.

I'd wait until Christmas, the Horizons expansion update comes out then. Hooray for planetary landings!

However, I am told it does get repetitive after a while. Graphics are f!$king beautiful though, some of the best IMO.

Good point. I do want to say however a big update is coming for SC which adds a metric butt ton of features, and Elite Dangerous is still missing some features as well.

What i would recommend is just wait until Horizons dlc for Elite comes out and then buying that. That will be the best short term investment.

Quickly becomes boring as Frack.  Very limited PVP and your actions have next to no effect on the universe.  Combat is rudimentary.  Graphics and sound are very well done but the gameplay becomes incredibly repetitive.  I can't log in for more than 10 minutes without wanting to quit.  The game *really* needs planets and stations the player base can take control of.
