Windows 10 no longer recognizes Drives D:, E:, and F: after cloning C: to M.2 drive.

Ellis_D

So I just got an m.2 PCIe SSD for my Windows Boot drive and now that I have Windows 10 installed on it and booting just fine, it no longer recognizes my other drives.  Before cloning my old Windows drive, the system recognized all the drives, including the m.2 drive just fine, all the drives are showing up in BIOS and when I boot into Ubuntu, all the drives are also recognized and mountable so it's only an issue of Windows not seeing the drives.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

They might just require reassignment of a drive letter, do they all show in Disk Management?

do a clean install on the M.2 SSD with no other drives attached, and make sure to install all motherboard drivers

They weren't showing up in Disk Management which was what was freaking me out so much.

But they eventually showed up after I mucked about in the BIOS settings for the SATA controller.  Oddly, I didn't actually change anything but the drives showed back up the next time I booted up after that.  I'm glad everything is working again but I'm still really curious what was going on to make Windows not recognize anything.
