What is, in your opinion, the most "perfect" phone released in the last couple of years?

Perfect could be for any reason, so specify why.

For me, it has to be the OnePlus One. It ran CyanogenMod, had close to no compromises, and was at a dirt cheap price. Shame they couldnt do the same with the Two despite the still low price for the specs, but they cut corners and had immature and unstable software.

probably the iphone 6s. Its not a phone I would personally get, because IOS is not my cup of tea, but everything else is pretty much what I would want in a phone.

Sadly I'm not a fan of any smartphone produced to date. A few iPhones have been pretty good but there's the obvious limitations of the software it runs, lack of expandable storage and removable battery, and pathetic speakers, all of which persist through every generation through today.

The HTC One was decent with the good speakers and good build quality, but had a host of other issues like the poor camera and lack of SD card and battery life.

For me personally, 95% of phones today are automatically disqualified from being "perfect" due to the ridiculous large sizes across the board and various poor engineering/design choices. Nexus 5X comes close but it's still too large and maxes at 32GB with no SD card uness I'm remembering incorrectly.

tl;dr I don't like any phone software on both sides disappoints me too.

Excellent battery life, gorgeous screen, great camera.

I'd love to have the microSD card slot back, and a slightly larger battery would have been nice just to have that extra bit of security, but neither are deal breakers for me and will likely be fixed in the Note 6. I hope they don't go to a 4k screen...

True. Phone can break easily not just from drops but also from S-Pen. No expandable storage. Bloated software. GPU performance is below competing flagships (e.g Z5/Compact, HTC M9, OnePlus 2)

True. I prefer less screen resolution and more performance. Apple has adopted this strategy since the iPhone 5 and it has worked out well for them

The Note 4 is my favourite. There are still bad points like it runs hot, KNOX e-fuse, but it is a great phone.

- Top-mounted headphone jack. Tried it on my M7; never again

- Stupid placement of volume controls

- I like hardware buttons. I don't like capacitive buttons, and software buttons like on the Z5c are even worse

- 720p screen is a bit low for 4.6"

- Needs front-facing speakers to be a "perfect" smartphone. The ones on the Z5c are "ok" though.

The note 5 is pretty close in terms of productivity and general use. Truthfully, I would've liked to see it come equipped with 64gb as a baseline with a slightly smaller form factor. Anything over 6" is a pain to carry around if you're a guy.

iPhone 5s- best compact one handable phone ever. Its single threaded performance still rivals the best from Qualcomm and Samsung.

iPhone 6s- fastest phone available on the market with some really unique features.

S6- great screen only to be ruined by Samsung's firmware/software decisions.
