Experiences with XFX RMA's/ Products In General?

So I bought a used XFX R9 290X from a microcenter about 3 months ago along with my entire build(everything else new). after Fallout 4 came out, I bought it and started playing it (high settings mostly) and my screen would randomly say lost signal, but my computer would still be on and everything would be back to normal after I restarted the computer. To put it short, my screen kept doing this, I removed the GPU and it stopped happening. I requested an RMA (which took 6 days) and sent it back 3 days before thanksgiving. It really made me mad I could not play fallout over thanksgiving weekend, so I am wondering if anyone here has experienced this with XFX products and/or has done an RMA with them. Was the RMA successful, or did they send you another busted card? Maybe it was my fault for buying a used GPU, but the card looked like it was barely used at all and it was on sale.

I had an RMA on my XFX 5750, everything went smoothly and two weeks later they sent me a 6770 as a replacement.

There's a chance you're getting an R9 390/X back from them :P

you think so? I am very new to PC gaming and my hardware brand knowledge is pretty limited, and I saw many horror stories of people getting broken GPUs after waiting for an RMA (from XFX of course).

I really liked my 290x while I was using it though. definitely a card I would recommend for someone looking for the best bang for buck if you can find some discounts on them.

Yeah that sometimes happens, getting an upgrade. Also, just a fyi the 290X 8GB performs better than the 390 most of the time :D

Oh I actually had a 4GB 290X (should have said that  <_<)

Now I am kinda hoping they send me a 390 though  :D . this is a really cool forum. I think I am gonna start coming here more.

The cooler on my 7950 was a POS. I bought and then slightly modded a TwinFrozr cooler for it and it's miles better.

Still doesn't overclock worth a damn (barely past stock most of the time).

I am assuming you mean the cooler was awful?

cause I know on the card I sent back, it would get pretty hot even when playing games like CSGO or TF2. the fans really seem like they do next to nothing for cooling.

It was. Loud, hot, and just not well designed IMO.
