1080p or 768p Monitor for GTX-750ti?

I have been thinking about buying a new monitor for my PC. I can't decide which resulation should i choose as I know my GTX-750ti doesnt have much horse power to run modern games (Like AC Syndicate) at comfortable fps on 1080p. On the other hand there is no 768p monitors with ips panel and non ips monitors are not good for wathcing movies while lying on bed. I have two options now.

​1. Buying a 21.5 inch 1080p ips monitor and playing games by downscaling at 768p.

​or,
2. Buying a 18.5 inch non-ips 768p monitor.

Please help me.

Note: I'm buying this monitor for two main purposes. Gamming and Watching Movies. And I Can't afford a New GPU.

You can game at 1080p with options turned down to medium/low. Don't downscale, things will look ugly. X:

I had 750 TI, it handles 1080 great. Will nearly max out most games in my experience.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Definitely buy the 1080p one. Monitors can last years and years longer than any one computer, if you treat it right. a lower resolution monitor would be ok for the 750ti, but 1080p would be worlds better if you ever plan on upgrading your system. If you want to keep what you have for a few years with no upgrades, I would suggest the 768p monitor.

768p - if you intend to keep that GPU for more than a year 768p is the way to go

Get a 1080p monitor unless you can find a 768p one for under $20. Don't downscale to 768p, but if you have to, downscale to 720p.

I think his point is that he doesn't want to spend $400+ on a monitor lol.

18.5" screen is too small to game on. Its too small to do anything on it other than watch youtube videos.

Definately get 1080p screen.
