To those with who own a Iphone 6s, how awesome is 3D touch?

Profoundsoup

I watched a few videos about it and it looks like a really great feature for getting things done quick around the OS. Is it a useful feature for you?

Until more developers take advantage of it, it's not very useful.

I do enjoy it a lot in Safari though.

Just about any new software innovation is a gimmick until Devs take advantage of it.

I can see it being used in a game perhaps. Touch lightly to fire a gun in one mode, and touch harder to fire the gun in another mode perhaps?

At the moment I think that its an interesting feature but app support for it isn't there yet!

However I found when I upgraded from my iPhone 4s to my iPhone 5 it took a good year before all the apps I used became fully compatible.

I think that it will take some more time but the feature will become really useful but at the moment its a bit of a gimmick.

I also wonder this because well I'm chosing between a Sony Z5 or a iPhone 6s and this is one of the features that don't exist on the Z5

I dont really see how its a gimmick at all tho. This guy goes over the feature for 7 minutes and shows it can do alot of things...? Am I missing something. Watch the video so you know what Im talking about

yes you can do ALL Those things, but just like siri, it doesn't mean its more efficient or better way of doing the same tasks.

Ill argue that I would be seeing as it requires less steps to get "X" objective completed. Also I would argue that voice services are quicker as well at getting things done. I use google now all the time and it saves me a bunch of time

Google NOW is AMAZING

siri just flat out sucks

less operations doesn't mean it will finish the task faster.

thier are some parts where 3d touch excels, just not as a package

Hmmmmm I wasnt aware Siri "flat out sucks" what is so bad about her?

Also to each his own because IMO less operations makes for a simpler and more enjoyable to do things. I know for a fact all the swiping features and quick replies on the new versions of Android are really efficient at that and make using Android a better experience than it would otherwise be. .

The voice accuracy just isn't as good as google.

Google now i can speak in multiple languages at a time.

"ok Google"

Google now can tell that i am speaking and not my friend.

now no tap. on google

siri just doesn't seem to get the job done.

just the overall experience

(i have nexus 5x, and ipod touch 5)

I don't own an iPhone 6S, but the popping things open is supposed to make everything go faster because you don't have to press the back button.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)
