I'm really curious what makes this a "gaming" keyboard. It looks like a regular keyboard to me with WASD a slightly different shade.

Gaming or not, you can't beat a mechanical board with cherry switches for $50

software, gkeys, "game mode" which disables the windows key, and the backlighting has 2 control areas - wasd/arrow keys and the rest of the keyboard

edit: I've got one, pretty nice

It has macro keys, that's pretty much it I'd assume. What would you expect it to have to be called "gaming"?

Just picked one up, slapped some thick o-rings to dapen the sound. Coming from cherry reds this is an AMAZING KEYBOARD. Only complaint is the brightest back lighting is a bit too bright for me.

Because logitech (and several others) throw that branding on everything under the sun.

Aside from the paint, it looks normal to me. Mechanical keys and macros aren't exactly a gaming exclusive.

I think I'm just bothered by the whole "gaming" market. It's all horseshit. Hell, I even bought two $6 HDMI cables from Fry's a few weeks ago that were packaged as "gaming" cables. They were ordinary black cables. It's hogwash. I bought them because of the price. They had no appeal to anything gaming.

The community wants it, the manufacturers will give it. Simple as that.
