Power supply help

Atrahassis

im looking to upgrade my computer this hoiday and i want a R9 390 ive been looking on amazon and was thiking of getting the ASUS Strix version of it (unless there is better im not super savy with this and on a budget)

issue i am having is i have almost no idea what power supply i need to get i was thinking 750W but every product i find the reviews are so all over the place i cant trust them and when you end up reading that it comes DOA or has issues it makes you not want to buy it

i do run Alot of fancy perps pretty much everything i have is razer chroma gear and all of my fans in my case have LED's on them aswell making me think i may need more than 750W with an R9 390

750W is enough provided it's a good PSU. What PSU do you have.

Avoid the asus 390 strix, it has bad vrm cooling. also avoid the gigabyte G1 gaming 390, it is voltage/bios locked.

Sapphire>MSI>Powercolor~XFX>Others

Also what psu?

No don't get that one, the b2 is good but if you get this or the 750w version then do :D http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Supply-220-G2-0650-Y1/dp/B0106RDIN2/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1448825754&sr=1-2&keywords=evga+g2

im still trying to cut corners on the price

should i grab this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231665&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= or stick with the hyperX fury blacks i was going to originally get

someone said to not get the STRIX version so was thinking of grabbing this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202164&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

and for the power supply i was told to get the B2 of this http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Warranty-110-B1-0750-VR/dp/B00K85X23O/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1448823695&sr=1-4&keywords=750w+power+supply but the B1 is helps me a little on cutting the price. but will it be fine for what i need?

The B1 isn't very good at all. The B2 is literally 5 dollars more than the CX600...? What's stopping you?

Can you go for this? It has plenty of wattage.  http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr550rm

Is the Sapphire really better than the MSI? Im asking since it's cheaper in CAD now.

Sapphire is considered the king in AMD cards, since they only produce AMD-based cards, and they have good customer support.

MSI comes second, with very good customer support and nice, beefy cards

PSU requirements are always exaggerated because neither Nvidia nor AMD wants to be liable for damages caused by a bad quality PSU. You can run an OC'ed 390 and OC'ed 4790k on a good quality 550w PSU. 750 is overkill.

I would opt for MSI or Sapphire for a 390.
