Removing the pump from a pump/res combo

Hi. I was wondering if I got a EK-KIT L360 could i remove the pump off of the pump res combo that comes with it and get a bigger reservoir to mount separately. I was wondering becuase I have a place in my case to mount the pump and the res but not together. Thank you for any help!!!

Would I just be better off buying the X360 with a seperatre pump and res, better block and A thicker rad?

 

Also would a 35mm rad in poush pull be better than a 60mm in pull?
