3 Display help!

slyffer6

Ok so here it is,

I have a 27inch monitor running off HDMI and two auxiliary ones running off DVI (one has a DVI to VGA adapter. This is all running off a R9 270 (non X). One of the DVI displays dose not display anything, this is the DVI with a VGA adapter in it. It shows up when I open screen resolution on windows but it does not let me select it becuase when i do it says: "Unable to save display settings".

Any fixes?

Thanks slyffer6

It is because a lot of video cards can ONLY have 2 DVI/HDMI displays.

My R9 280 is exactly the same, you'll need an ACTIVE displayport to HDMI or DVI adapter.

Switch around the DVI inputs, see if that works.

But I think you do need 1 active displayport used though.. not sure

Edit: yeah you said it worked before.. you need 1 active diplayport to DVI adapter

Yeah, that is why I asked you to switch them, DVI D doesnt support being turned into VGA (while DVI I does), but since you say it worked before adding the third... that is not the problem. The problem is that AMD 200 series cards need at least 1 active displayport used if you want 3 monitors
