Will elgato gchd recording software suffer from this?

Xtreme Gamer

My cousin is getting either a new laptop or AIO computer. It meets the minimum specs to use the elgato gchd on ram and cpu. The only thing i'm not sure of is the 5400rpm hard drive. Would performance suffer when recording? The video will be 1080p 30fps in mp4 format.

Thanks for the help!!!!

Don't know, but already a 7200RPM HDD makes any fancy spec computer look like crap, so a 5400RPM would be awful.

Personally, any pre-build computer I recommend, I suggest to get it with an SSD. Ideally not a shitty one to check the box "has an SSD", and is one that is as slow as a 5400RPM drive.
