I'd get a DefineS.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

I'm thinking about building a pc for a christmas present for my brother. Here is what he sent me. Is this a good build? It is mostly for gaming and the budget is around $1500.

All good.

No, it doesn't.

Yes it does. Your fucking wasting money if your only going to allow 100 watts of headroom. the GPU will eat more than that with an OC, and the CPU will eat a bit too. 200-300 watts of room is fine.

Would get the EVGA G2 instead of the GS

The G2 is more quiet during heavy load.

You know the NEX powersupplies are not exactly the greatest units right?

It will never use 450 watts, only at full load which is never.

And mind your language please. It's annoying to see people get salty on a community that's meant to help, to some extent, each other.

Get a better PSU, thats about it. It honestly looks very similar to mine. i7 doesn't do much in gaming, maybe 1-5 FPS. But if he is going to with editing in videos or pictures, etc go with it. Look at my build. It was bout $1200-1350.

CASE: NZXT S340 CPU: Intel i5-4690K MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97X RAM: Corsair 16GB GPU: MSI R9 390 HDD: WD Blue 1TB SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB PSU: XFX ATX12V/EPS12V 650W
