Just Cause 3 Vs. Fallout 4

RaptorCock

Now I know Just Cause 3 isn't even out yet but some youtubers have already gotten early access (Example: JackSepticEye) and the game seems awesome, enough to compete with Fallout 4. Now I know they're both totally different games, but i just wanna know which one you like the most.

I guess, they're both nice games. Completely different, though. I can't say which one is better until I've played Just Cause 3. There probably won't be a better game, since it's mostly personal opinions.

Just Cause seems pretty cool, and since its coming out on December 1st, It'll be on my Christmas list for sure.

Fallout 4 seems nice, but the lackluster story reviews have turned me away (I like a game with good story)

I like Just Cause better because the world is larger and there are vehicles. It's pretty awesome. Fallout 4 has some fun mechanics in the game, but Just Cause seems like you're goal is to just blow shit up and cause mayhem everywhere. The completion is inside of me also appreciates Just Cause a bit more.

It really depends on your type, i find Fallout boring compared to Just Cause.

I like Mad Max but i don't like Fallout...when both games are similar.

Fallout 4 for me. Just Cause 3 looks to be just like 2, boring and repetitive. Sorry, but doing nothing but blowing the same shit up over and over to advance the absolutely horrible story doesn't interest me.

Fallout has it's problems, but it has one thing Just Cause 3 lacks: Depth.

Fallout has it's problems, but it has one thing Just Cause 3 lacks, depth.

The story is there to facilitate blowing more interesting things up when you run out of ordinary people and buildings. Or to restrict your blowup capabilities until you've honed your craft.

JC3 is a very different style of game. It for fills a more "eugh, can't think, just need to sit down and zone out" rather than being a deep and engrossing, its shallow and unashamedly ridiculous.

Have watched about 5-6 hrs of stream footage of Just Cause 3. It's pretty much what Just Cause 2 was. Garbage story, big but empty world with no civilian interaction. How you will like the game depends on how creative you can get. The world is your playgorund to create and perform all kinds of stunts and awesome ways to kill your enemies. Me personally I got bored from this kind of stuff in JC2. Heck I even did the story but it was utter garbage.

Put 121 hrs into Fallout 4.

The story is decent, it does have a cool sense of mystery regarding the institute and the synths but that's about it. Since I didn't really have any kind of connection to Shaun I didn't really even care that much about finding him.

The majority of the quests are crap imo. Usually it's fetch quests where you have to just kill some group of enemies. Preston literally gives you the same quest every time. And he even says "I've got somehting new for you" stfu you're gona give me the same thing you gave me last time. The Institute quests suck as well. The BOS and Railroad quests are the most interesting ones.

The settlement building is one of the best features of this game.

The dialog sucks. It's just bad.

The world has a decent size and is filled with places to discover. Discovering and looting is the best part about this game.

Which is better imo? JC3 depends on the player, you won't get much out of it if you are not creative and seek a more story-based experience. Fallout 4 story isn't anything great either but definitely better than the one in Just Cause.

Maybe I would like JC3 since it has many new things you can do in it. For pure fun this is the better game. For role playing(even though its not really an RPG) and exploration I would go with Fallout.

Fallout 4 runs like complete shit. I get drops to 30fps in towns and I have a good system. (980 4690K 8GB RAM)
It's like the devs played dayz and thought yes...we need our game to also be "cinematic" when entering a town too.

Definitely horribly optimized. That's about the framerate I get in the certain areas and I have a 280x. What the fuck, Bethesda?

After some research, looks like JC3 is a pretty bad port itself.

Oh I don't think it's the game. I got a 970 and I can run Ultra amazingly. 40-60 fps

Yes, it is the game. Literally almost everybody is having major FPS drops. And although I think the game looks fine, the FPS drops doesn't reflect visually.

Now, if 40-60fps is good for you, good. But for most people the FPS drops are unacceptable. And lowering the graphics settings to low literally makes no difference. I know somebody with a 980Ti who plays the game at 1080p (yes, I know) and even he doesn't have a stable 60fps all the time. The game is horribly optimized, end of story.
