Why is Yahoo-Mail so bad?

In the last WAN show Linus said that Yahoo-Mail is terrible. Why?

It's just kind of outdated, most people moved on to Gmail mostly. Or even Outlook. Not sure if because features or just.. New stuff, but it just seems obsolete compared to those.

Because Yahoo is the unholy grail of porn stars, phishing email, virus attacks, unfiltered mail, etc . . . . . 

 

The worst email out there. I don't open anything yahoo related.

honestly outlook is the worst name for an email service.

Well Outlook has been a thing for a long time (at least 2003) in form of an email service/program for Windows (from Microsoft). But everyone is using webbased stuff now.. (Or Mozilla Thunderbird if you really want a program for it still)

Spam everywhere, ads everywhere, you need to pass from the yahoo homepage to access, doesn't offer as many features as, say, gmail.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Yeah hottmail was bad as well, that is why MS dumped it and went to Outlook which uses the enterprise services for mail delivery.

admittedly the ui was better, I meant the amount of spamming, phishing, the filter didn't work as well.

I dont use the outlook website, I use the Office Outlook for all my mail.
