1440p vs ultrawide monitor

So here's my problem, I can afford either a Dell 1440x2560 IPS monitor, or an LG 2560x1080p IPS ultrawide.

I do a bit of casual content creation and play games like: CS:GO, ArmA 3, GTA V and Elite Dangerous.

I have a GTX 970 and FX8350.

I can get each monitor for about £240 each (that's $360). I'm having a really hard time trying to decide what one to get.

1080p ultrawide doesnt look great imo

Just having a had time deciding because almost everyone who buys an ultrawide loves them (including Linus).

I run LG 29UM67 which is basicly the same one you posted and it's amazing, the display is really sharp you won't see those pixels so don't worry about the resolution (also less stress on your GPU).

I've gone with 16:9 due to compatibility issues with some games I play and 27" makes more sense than 25" at 1440p.

Get a 1440 ultrawide, but it doesn't come cheap though.
