GTX 980 price advice

Found a refurbished EVGA GTX 980 FTW edition for a little over US$400 and was wondering if that is a good price point? I'm currently running a 670 SLI and want to go single GPU. I also looked at the R9 390s but I'm not that big on graphics card performance. Any advice is appreciated!
