What type of internet do you use?

Jack02

This is just out of curiosity.

Also, for WiFi users, do you have a desktop?

If you'd like, say why you're using that specific kind of internet.

WiFi for my mobile devices and Ethernet for my desktop.

Though if you want to get more technical, my Internet connection at home is DSL.

if ethernet_port == TRUE

 then plug it in

else

 connect WiFi

When in doubt, re-format.

WiFi for everything! Why? Well, my router is in a weird spot in comparison to my room, so I have to use a wifi dongle.

Wireless on everything. Can't have wires running through our house because of the way the rooms are laid out and whatnot.

My server will always have a wired connection to the router. Doesn't matter where the router happens to be. It MUST have a wired connection.

Ever since my mom moved our router from my room to the living room, Ive been on wireless, and I hate it.

Our home connection is 50/50 and with wireless I barely get half that.

I use wired because I'm right next to the router, but wifi would be just as good for me. Because here's the problem:

Computer ethernet speed = Really fast.

Router = Really fast.

Australian Broadband speed = 4Mbps download.

I wish I could get wired. We get 120 down on wired :( I get 45 down usually. Not bad but not anywhere near as good.

While wired is ideal, wireless AC isn't a bad second place. I sacrificed wired for better wifi throughout the house. I just moved a few months ago and I'm sure the owner of the house wouldn't appreciate me drilling holes throughout the house to run cat6.

So are we talking actual internet connection or Ethernet connection? Wired for both, but still this confuses me.
