Senheiser HD 598 sale

GrobfootGaming

On Amazon.com for Black Friday the Senheiser HD 598's are on sale for about 95 dollars.  I wasn't really looking for new headphones unless it would be a major step up from my current ones.

I currently use the Hyperx Cloud headset on my PC which are definitely the best I use.  Would these headphones be enough of a difference to be worth a 95 dollar upgrade?  They look pretty high end and there are no negative reviews but the same goes for the Clouds.

Excellent midrange. Not an ideal headphone for those seeking thunderous hard hitting bass, however.

To be fair, many in the audiophile realm would say big bass/over exaggerated bass is wrong bass.

But for under $100, the 598 is one hell of a headphone. While I myself enjoy a little more(or should I say a lot more? :P ) bass from cans such as the DT990, the 598 is a great set of cans and at this price it's a steal. And if you wanted to grab these for competitive FPS titles, these are one of the best choices you could have.

Curious if it's worth purchasing these from AD700s? They're still running strong as I only bought them 3-4 years ago, but there is some general cosmetic wear and tear which bugs that side of me...outside of the wear and tear, I'm mainly considering these because of how great a deal they are. I'm using onboard sound, if it matters.
