Building First PC!

So to be honest this is not my build as i have built some PC's in the past but my friend is building and i have to make sure he has everything. 

 

this is what he is getting:

MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING TWIN FROZR V OC 4GB GDDR5

MSI Z97A Gaming 6 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) ATX Motherboard
 
HDD:
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 64MB Cache Hard Drive SATA 6GB/s 8.5ms 7200rpm - OEM
 
Power Suply:
Corsair CX Series CX600M ATX Power Supply
 
OS:
Windows 10 Home 32-bit/64-bit English USB - Retail

think this is everything, but can you guys check it over so we don't fuck it up :D

Looks like a decent rig, I'd add a SSD if the budget allow's it and personally would go with a different PSU. Something like a Seasonic, XFX TS line or EVGA Supernova's there is nothing wrong with that one though 

 

Also I agree with the above that you should that get the 4690k over the non unlocked version

Why not an R9 390 instead of a GTX 970? Twice the VRAM and same performance,

If you're not overclocking get a cheaper motherboard and get a 4460.

Also don't get a CX PSU

Get an SSD for OS, a better PSU, and a i5 4690k to overclock. or get H97 motherboard and save some money

Change the mobo for that CPU, and with that money get a better PSU like an EVGA SuperNova

Either get a 4690k+ Cryorig H7 and overclock, or get a H97+i5 4460/4690 and dont overclock. Get a better PSU like one from SeaSonic,Super Flower, EVGA's GS/GQ/G2/B2 series or Cooler Master's V/VSM series. Oh, and get a 390 from Sapphire or MSI, unless you NEED nvidia-only features like GameStream or CUDA
