ASUS ROG G750JH-T4188H Laptop Monitor Recommendation!

So I am missing a DVI port so there is where lies the first problem.

 

I have : VGA port, HDMI, and a thunderbolt port ( I think that is what it is called). I would like to buy a 144Hz monitor specifically BenQ XL2720Z 144Hz 27 inch

Also I am running a Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M.

 

I do want to buy it and being able to use it to its full potential. So from a less knowledgeable newbie is this possible? if it is, will I need to get some sort of adapter or converter?

should I forget about gettin it at all?

 

would really appreciate any kind of help I could get at the moment !

your not going to be able to use that to its full potential lol, Laptops dont do amazing well in general unless they have a really great graphics card with lots of vram with a different monitor

So I will not be able to benefit from the monitor in the slightest, meaning it is not worth spending that amount of money on a monitor of that kind right?
