Hyper 212 EVO vs. be quiet! Pure Rock

Hi,

I am deciding between these two air CPU cooler and which one do you think will run an i7-4790k better. I want it to run quiet and be able to get me a solid overclock, thanks! :D

You won't get an overclock on a 4790k with that small of a cooler, try something like an NH-D14, D15, or Dark Rock Pro 3

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

The Pure Rock will perform marginally better while also looking a lot cleaner and being quieter.

Yes you will. You won't get some crazy 4.8GHz overclock, but 4.4GHz-4.6GHz depending on voltage should be perfectly attainable while staying under 85C.

I ran my 4790K on an ETS-T40 for a long while, and it did a great job. Obviously, it's better than an EVO or a Pure Rock, but I was still running 4.7GHz/1.3V while staying in the temperature safe zone.

Thank you, yeah I'm not going mad but a 4.4 - 4.5ghz overclock would be nice, I think ill go with the pure rock even though its a little more :D Thanks again!

4.4 GHz is equivalent to turbo - which the stock cooler is quite capable of handling safely.  And the Evo 212 is substantially better than the stock cooler.

You should be fine well up to 4.6, maybe even higher depending on the required voltage.
