network switches

i have 3 network switches all hooked up to each other can this cause glitches or is 1 larger switch better?

Its not a big enough network to care honestly. There might be a small difference in performance from 3 switches to 1 especially if you travel through all 3 but its probably not more than 1-2ms anyway. Then there is the multicast going to everything that is probably what you want since you are considering one big switch. Honestly don't sweat it in the home network its not going to make any real difference.

Make sure you don't plug dumb switches into each other multiple times (make sure they only have 1 connection to each other) because that can cause a packet storm.
