Would like some advice on adding 2 monitors to mt present monitor for 3 screen gaming

mail4youtoo
Good morning and Happy Black Friday

As my title says, I would like to add 2 more monitors to my gaming PC for some 3 screen gaming taking my present video card out of the picture (GTX980) as I will be upgrading once Pascal is released.

I presently have a really good main monitor. The Acer Predator XB270HU

I would like to add 2 more monitors to use with it. I can not afford to buy 2 more Predators at $700+ each  I would prefer to buy 2 more 2560x1440p screens. I have read many places that I should buy the same type and model but I just can't afford that. I would like to keep the total price around $700 but can go a little higher if it would be worth it.  The Predator does have g-sync but I know it adds to the cost so the new monitors do not need it.

I would like to use displayport for each as well as my present card GTX980 has 3 displayport out connections and I am sure newer Pascal cards will have the same setup.

I have looked at the ASUS PB278Q which seems like a good match.  The price is a bit higher than I wanted to spend though.  I will spend it if this is the best option

I have also looked at the Acer K272HUL which is a bit cheaper but is the same Acer brand.

Is there another brand I should look at?

I live in the US and will purchase online.

Thank you in advance

I personally would reconsider doing a 3 screen setup for gaming the fisheye effect is huge and can be extremely distracting/annoying/immersion breaking

This plus many games do not support it

Get a 1440p ultrawide maybe instead,

ALSO, 3x 1440p =  11.06 million pixels and 4k is only 8.3 million - so you will have an EXTREMELY hard time running

Desktop - Corsair 300r i7 4770k H100i MSI 780ti 16GB Vengeance Pro 2400mhz Crucial MX100 512gb Samsung Evo 250gb 2 TB WD Green, AOC Q2770PQU 1440p 27" monitor Laptop Clevo W110er - 11.6" 768p, i5 3230m, 650m GT 2gb, OCZ vertex 4 256gb,  4gb ram, Server: Fractal Define Mini, MSI Z78-G43, Intel G3220, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, 4x 3tb WD Reds in Raid 10, Phone Oppo Reno 10x 256gb , Camera Sony A7iii

Yup.

I second getting an ultra wide, I haven't seen one in person but I could see an ultra wide ending right where it becomes pretty much impossible to make out any details anymore in your peripheral vision. (and just before the fisheye effect starts to creep in)
