Can this build work with this psu

Xarvz

Parts

i7 6700k overclocked to about 4.5 or 4.6

Asus Strix 980ti

16gb of corsair lpx memory

h100i AIO

3 ssd's

Psu options

Seasonic 520w fanless or corsair rm1000i

Pretty much want a fanless PSU the rm1000i does not really turn it's fan on until about 550w from what I can't see in the johnny guru review.

Considering the 1000i costs more I'm wondering If i could get away with 520w with this setup. Thanks.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I will say this if this is for gaming you probably don't need 16 GB of RAM and a PSU is something that has a lot of re-usability so it might be better to spend money on a nicer, higher capacity PSU than on a cheap 550W one I would go with 650 upwards and maybe even an 800W just in case you ever want to do something like SLI or overclocking your GPU.

nope

520 is not enough, even if you won't be overclocking

An i7 and 980ti should hit about 400W under overclocked like balls load so the Seasonic will be fine provided that airflow exists elsewhere in your system.
