Asus direct cu ii GTX 780 TI setup wont boot with drivers installed

Hi,

 

So i've been given the opportunity to get a used 780ti from a friend. However it has an issue and that is that if you run the system without Nvidia drivers installed it runs fine. However if you where to install the required drivers it dose not allow the system to boot into windows. 

 

I have been told by Asus ROG to try the ROG forums but I can ask any questions on their as I don't have the perm as I am a new user. So I was wondering if this could be a simple fix and if I should just get the card from my friend who is asking like £50 to £60 for it?
