How hard does 144hz stress your GPU?

Hey guys, so I'm running a GTX 980 SC with a VG248QE 144hz monitor and was wondering how much my in-game fps would drop if I added another VG248QE. Should I just get a 60hz monitor if the fps drop is that significant? What is my best option. :P

It would drop but not because you are are using a 144hz monitor, only because you are displaying more pixels.

60hz means that the monitor can only display 60fps even if it is above and 144hz only shows 144fps.

It has no effect on the GPU

 

e.g Computer runs at 169fps but uses a 144hz monitor, user can see 144fps on the screen, and no more.

 

pretty sure thats how it works.

its not going to drop it at all unless you are trying to do surround on 2 displays
