need help buying a new laptop

i've been asked to buy a laptop for a family member.

their max budget is £350

 

i know the components for Desktop PC but i have no idea about processors for Laptops

 

i've been looking around and found few but not quite sure qhich has a good price=performace value.

any help would be great..

The Lenovo G50 looks pretty solid to me.

I wouldn't care much about the battery life, as 4 hours for a typical user isn't much.

Unless if the person using it likes to use it wireless for extended periods of time, G50, if they do use it that way, the HP 15.

 

 

Also, do not get a laptop with an AMD CPU.

 

Power consumption ain't beautiful.
