Is it a good Idea to use stock cooling in an ITX build?

Stock cooling is fine.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Stock will be fine with that CPU. Might be a little noisy, if so you can get low-profile ones (noctua has one). I wouldn't bother though.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

The stock cooler'll do, but what PSU is what I'm worried about

I'm reusing one from another computer. Same with the storage.

Stock cooling is fine if you aren't overclocking.

Intel wouldn't include a cooler if it didn't sufficiently cool their processors at stock speeds.

Your stock cooler should be fine as long as it not being suffocated by your other components.

Weeeellll... the 4790k has a cooler included.....

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

Hey, I stock cooled mine for probably half a year on the stock cooler until I had the money for a better one.

I would say it worked flawlessly, but it wasn't seated properly so only half the cooler was making contact for half a year and I was getting temps of 99C+ without knowing it. Rookie mistake. Ayyyylmao

Stock cooler is totally okay. Just don't overclock.

If you want a bit less noise, a Xigmatek Janus is a worthy low-profile cooler. I have one cooling a toasty Q6600 and it works great, so for an i3 it shouldn't be a problem.

I have a Dark Rock Pro 3 on my 4790k, and one corner wasn't screwed down for a few months because it was nearly impossible to do so. I had similar temps under full load, so I just avoided it. lol
