Couldn't I overclock it myself? What is the point of that?

Different color coolers, one is white and the other is red.

Oh. so is the overclock thing not true. Also, is it sad I am going to buy the red one because it looks cooler. $30 for red paint

Well the red is slightly higher clocked, but not by much at all

The red one actually has a higher self-overclock. Goes up to 1000Mhz on the core clock.

It's in the actual product description. It has a "gaming mode" which is enabled by default I'm assuming, which is 1000Mhz. This is on Newegg's page.

PCPP doesn't have its shit together...

 

Unless they enter in the specs manually (more than likely the case), the website code might not have been able to grab the correct info from the dealers.
