Best Headphones under 300 (US) for EDM

Ritsukashy

As titles suggest i'm just looking for some good headphones for electronic music since i already have some sennheiser 598 for gaming and vocal and instrumental music and i'm just looking for something with some great bass and highs. Main artist i'm listening to right now is Porter Robinson for song references. The headphone i'm currently looking at is the V-moda LP2 or M-100 mainly since i herd V-Moda stuff is great for EDM. i just want to know best options for the price but i do expect strong bass but not stupid overwhelming bass tho. almost forgot to mention i do have a dac and amp (Shiit Modi2+magni2 uber stack)

Does anyone want a headphone with less than great bass or highs? lemme know.

I'd say the M-100 would be a good choice. Not a lot else will be able to touch the bass level in the price range. The JVC HA-SZ2000 is also recommendable for this kind of listening.

Tried those with EDM? I doubt the OP would find the bass balance suitable.

He could also go for this one although i don't know how they would sound with EDM.

i would prefer closed headphones mainly since i would like to be able to take these out as well doesn't have to be the best for noise isolation just enough that it isn't bothersome for people around me. i mean if the headphones are really good then yeah ill just stick to using them at home so just tell me good recommendations in general but one thing i would like is for the earcups to cover my hear since i wear glasses and the ones that go over my ear cause them to hurt for being pressed against them

The DT990 Pros are very bass and treble heavy. It's an aggressive sounding headphone. The type of bass it has is not usual for open headphones. They hit pretty hard. Great for EDM and bass heavy genres. The soundstage is great too.

If you can stretch the budget to $400, the Fostex ThX00 should be an amazing value based on initial impressions placing it between Th600 and Th900.

For EDM, not in my opinion. I don't dig headphones with roll-off.

sadly all my Black Friday money is going for tons of presents i'm buying so probably early next month ill be able to get em. But do any of you know which of the V-Moda Are better i cant really decide since they both seem to have people going for them over the other i would assume the M-100 would be the better one but don't know for sure
