First water custom water loop

Going to do a custom water loop for my PC but i need some help

 

i7 4790K

palit GTX 980TI super jetstream

Coolermaster HAF 932

 

Theres a good bit of room inside the case and i can get 1x 240 rad and 1x 120 rad in there

 

the parts i have so far are;

Is this ok so far, are any parts mismatched? i was going to go 240 rad for CPU and 120 rad for GPU, is this ok?

 

Now i have no idea what fittings, hoses etc i need and i cant seam to find a water block for the GPU

 

I do realise im asking for alot of help here so anyone who can spare some time to help me out wit will be very much appreciated, thanks!

Where is your gpu block listed?

You wont find a water block for your card.... thats just life, sell and get a reference design or just do an aio for you cpu

i said in the OP i couldn't find a water block for the card. i already have a AIO for CPU, just wanted a custom loop for the looks and the fact ive never done one before.

 

No water blocks for this card then?

You will only find blocks for reference design or high end 980tis like the kingpin... if you want to do a full loop, sell the 980ti and get a reference design like the FTW edition then put a xspc raystorm block on it.

Check out EK water blocks & use the search tool on their website and put in the exactly make and model of your card to see if any matches come up.

Everything looks good for the GPU if there is no block it's not ideal but you can use a universal VGA cooler but it won't be as clean or nice to a full cover block. Maybe getting a card that is compatible with a waterblock is a good idea.

 

As for tubing and fittings if your doing soft tube I usually like to recommend thick wall tubing to prevent kinks, the two most common for that are 3/8"ID-5/8"OD and 1/2"ID-3/4"OD. Something like primochill's advance LRT tubing is some of the best, for the number of fittings you will need two per watercooling component.

Ftw? I'm guessing that's EVGA.. In witch case he could just get a hydro copper or whatever it's called...

that nasty looking card.... no, just the normal ftw evga card and a 980ti raystorm block to match his cpu block.

Also OP, look at the gt stealth rads... much higher deltas

According to EKWBs CoolingConfigurator there are blocks that work http://www.ekwb.com/configurator/step1 

 

Don't know if the site's broken though, it looks like they reworked the site since I last used it. Check with EK Luc here on the forums http://linustechtips.com/main/user/159888-ek-luc/

 

What you need is 2 fittings per component. 2 for the 120 rad, 2 for the 240 rad, 2 for the pump/res combo etc. 

 

Then depending on what tube you use you have to match its size with the fittings. so if you get 12/16mm tube, you have to get 12/16mm fittings. 

I like Primochills Primoflex tubing. if you want clear or coloured is up to you.

Happy to help, if you ever get stuck when you're looking for parts EK config site is always great to check compatibility, generally if EK make one then others will make a block too but in all honesty I've never really seen waterblocks from other manufacturers that I've liked.
