Remove CMOS Battery?

do i need to remove cmos / motherboard battery to change hardware such as RAM, GPU, CPU etc?

its fine. the cmos battery needs to last a long time, so motherboard manufacturers make sure its power doesnt reach anything more than it needs to.

if it was a problem, motherboards wouldnt ship with the battery installed.

No you can keep it in while doing that, if you remove it, it's the old fashion way of clearing the CMOS if you don't have a button on the motherboard.

If you have set XMP for RAM or some OC for CPU, you need to load default settings on boot. UEFI mobos can do that without clearing CMOS. Older mobos might require clearing CMOS, but you can do that without removing battery itself.
