Star Wars Battlefront on an older rig

JakeHall

Hi everyone, I was looking into getting this game but my hardware is a couple generations old now. I didn't know if I overclock my cpu if I could run this at 900p with some decent quality? I have a i5 660 and a r7 260x. I know the graphics card is probably underpowered but have seen some decent videos on youtube with that card but a newer cpu.  I'd rather not get a game I can't run and I don't really have the budget to do a motherboard/cpu upgrade right now.  Thanks, Jake

Pretty sure you can pull off 900p with a small overclock.

You shouldn't have much of a problem running 900p with that setup. Your processor may struggle just a little bit in high usage scenarios, ( Say when there are lots of physics going on. ) But, for the most part, your cpu should be able to handle the game adequately. Game on and take care ^_^

Main PC :

CPU = R9 3900X / Motherboard = Asus Crosshair 8 Hero / GPU = EVGA SC Ultra RTX 2060 / RAM = G.Skill 3600 16-19-19-39 ( 32GB / 4x8 ) / Cooling = Dark Rock Pro 4 / Storage = Western Digital Caviar Blue ( X4 ) Crucial 500GB NVME, 500GB 970 EVO/ PSU = Seasonic X-850 Modular / Case = Corsair Carbide 200R

Wireless = Asus PCE-AC56 / Keyboard & Mouse = Corsair K70 MX Blue, Logitech G203 / Headphones = Hyperx Cloud Alpha /

My friend was able to run battlefront just fine on his 3570k and 560ti. The 560ti is about as fast as the 260x, and his cpu is only marginally faster than the i5 660, but he too was also on 900p.

You'll be just fine, perhaps antialiasing turned down, but you'll be just fine none the less.
