I spilled i tiny bit of water oin top of my Dell laptop keyboard and then i cleaned it as fast as possible and out of nowhere it turned off and doesnt want to turn on

Unplug it and turn it upside down.

What model is it?

Specs: i7-4790k with Thermaltake Water 3.0, EVGA GTX 970, MSI Z97 Gaming 3, Kingston HyperX 2x8 DDR3 1600Mhz, SSD Boot Drive/1TB HD, CM Storm Stryker, EVGA Supernova G2 750W

Remove all electrical components, leave each one in rice for a day. Reassemble and see if it works.

So its been drying out for a day? Well I hate to tell you this but... your likely screwed. Your best bet is to try and figure out which components(if any) lived, and see if you can replace the dead ones.

 

edit: probably cheaper just to buy a new laptop.

RIP Dell laptop.

It is not that easy to kill a Dell..... HP on the other hand....

how small is small? because i have a dell laptop. and id get water and food in the keyboard daily and it still works to this day. i just wipe it off. i don't use it anymore but it still works.

people always do the wrong thing when spilling liquids on their laptops

 

people should remove the power plug and remove the battery (when possible) a.s.a.p.!! not wasting time going for towels

I have both an HP and Dell laptop, love them both :P I will say we see about 2x as many HP laptops here at work then Dells

Mom, dad, and I have HP laptops. Other than a random blue screen on my mom's laptop years back, works just fine. :)

Yea I loved the HP Compaq line, to bad they don't appear to make them anymore :(

Yea I have an HP Compaq 6515b with an extended battery, thing weights like 20 pounds but I deal with it for 6 hours of battery life :P I put so much work into the thing that you might think it was on drugs.

Not true, I had a HP laptop for 3 years, dropped It to the ground while It was on atleast twice a week, spilled water, soda etc on It several times, after 3 years the battery died. :P
